Javad Golzarian, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Javad Golzarian completed undergraduate degrees at both the University of Teheran and the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. He completed his medical degree and his General Surgery Residency at the Free University of Brussels School of Medicine. Dr. Golzarian then came to the United States where he did a Research Fellowship at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. He went on to complete a Surgical Internship and Residency at SUNY at Stony Brook, NY.  He then completed a Fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX.  Dr. Golzarian joined Clinic for Colon & Rectal Surgery in 1999.

Dr. Golzarian is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and also the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery.  He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and a member of the French Medical Association of Physicians of Brabant. He is a member of the Madison County Medical Society, the State of Alabama Medical Society and the Southern Medical Association.

Also, since 2000, Dr. Golzarian has served as an Assistant Professor (Voluntary Faculty member) for University of Alabama Birmingham Surgery.

Dr. Golzarian specializes in Robotic Colon Surgery.

Dr. Golzarian has four children.
